Lusk Community Council welcomed Minister Dara Calleary T.D. to the Lusk Community Cultural Centre for a detailed briefing on the need for further investment in community facilities to meet the town's growing needs.

The visit, arranged by Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee, brought together local representatives and community leaders to outline the challenges facing Lusk and discuss the projects needed to address gaps in its community infrastructure.

Brian Arnold presented the case for developing Phase 2 of the Cultural Centre, a project currently included in the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) funding scheme. This next phase was highlighted as a key priority for strengthening the town's community infrastructure.

The briefing highlighted Lusk's growing and increasingly diverse population. Lynne Barker outlined the work of the Town Team and progress on implementing the Town Plan, while Mark McCann explained the current investment in the recreation hub.

Rob O'Donoghue T.D. and Grace Boland T.D. confirmed their ongoing support for the Phase 2 project. Councillors Eoghan Dockrell and Mark Boland also confirmed Fingal County Council's full support for the project moving forward, subject to RRDF funding approval.

Minister Calleary's visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase Lusk's history, community spirit and plans for the future, while emphasising the investment needed to support a growing town.
